| Teaching of Spiritualism |
There
are many facets to the study of Spiritualism but at its core
is the belief, based on the teachings of spirit guides, evidence collected
through mediumship, and personal experience, that spirit animates
us all.
We have a physical body now, but when depart this plane of existence
that part of us that is spirit moves on. While still in our physical
form it is possible to communicate with spirits outside our self.
It is this creative animating force that unites all of mankind, one
to another, while at the same time connecting us to that, which is
beyond the physical.
Many call the creative, universal spirit, God. How you choose to label
the creative force is not as important as coming to know how it is
at work in your everyday life. Guidance to the answers of life's big
questions is always available, we need only to learn how to hear and
trust in that connection.
How and even if you decide to communicate with Spirit is up to you.
Everyone has the innate ability to commune with Spirit, but not all
of us develop this capacity. While for some, the sense of spirit is
already sharp, for others it takes time and work to re-open the link.
There are many ways for Spirit to get in touch with us when we need
guidance, protection, solace or teaching. The methods range from feelings
we call 'instinct' to something as profound as the manifestation of
a spirit, or, even by simply walking through a door.
Charleen Wilson, Calgary
Since the beginning of time, Man has been searching for truth
and understanding of his own self, and the reasons for life
itself. His deep desire has made him try different approaches to the
source of all Creation, as he knows that this is where all strength
and understanding will be found. Spiritualism has been with mankind
ever since questioning and reasoning first started.
Spiritualism is the science, philosophy and religion of continuous
life, based upon the demonstrated fact of communication through mediumship
with those who live in the spiritual planes.
It is a philosophy because it studies the Laws of Nature, both on
the seen and unseen sides of life. It bases its conclusions drawn
therefrom when sustained by reason and by results of observed facts
of the present day.
It is a science because it investigates, analyzes and classifies facts
and manifestations demonstrated from the spirit side of life.
It is a religion because it strives to understand and to comply with
the Physical, Mental and Spiritual Laws of Nature - which are the
Laws of God.
Spiritualism is the inevitable need of a materialist world. Spiritualists
are those who have accepted, as proven on evidence given through mediumship,
knowledge and understanding, that the human personality and spirit
survives physical death and communicates with those left on the earth
plane of existence.
We believe there is a hierarchy of Spirit beings, and that all spirits
are a part of the unified consciousness of God.
